Shuttle unveils its new Business and Education solution at InfoComm China 2014
Shuttle, Inc. announced today that they will be attending China’s annual professional AV exhibition, InfoComm, China, held in April at the China National Convention Center (CNCC) in Beijing. Shuttle will showcase its newest platforms, including an ARM-based Android player, a 4K signage player, and digital signage for face detect application. The tablet based education solution, EDUPAL will also be display an e-library and smart digital rights management (DRM) system.
Shuttle’s latest ARM-based platform is tailored for digital menu board application and houses a Cortex-A9 1GHz dual-core processor. It supports Full HD video content via H.264, VC1, MEPG4, DivX6 and many other encoding formats. Shuttle offers two options: motherboard only and signage player, both with compatible price and stability to meet the demands of various digital menu board applications.
With industry trends moving towards 4K, Shuttle’s new DS81 is a slim PC with a body thickness of 43mm and is designed for 4K applications. Shuttle will also preview its XH81V, a high-performance 3-liter slim PC able to support 4K. The XH81V is compatible with up to five COM ports, made especially for self-service KIOSK and other commercial applications where a variety of peripherals are needed to connect.
Shuttle has dedicated the recent years to developing its biometric technology. The latest HR70 face recognition solution has been adopted in the Taiwan Kaohsiung International Airport to supplement boarder control. Shuttle will demonstrate a face analysis digital signage application which can detect the facial images, age and gender of passers-by.
For education segments, Shuttle’s EDUPAL is an electronic schoolbag (E-bag) solution that is extremely flexible and features an Interactive Learning Management System. According to user’s demands, our solution provides flexible programs, including Classroom Level, School Cloud Level, and Public Cloud Level. The smart digital rights management system (DRM) protects the contents of the e-book and allows content suppliers to manage their platform. The encrypted digital content can be securely delivered cross-platform.
For digital content, EDUPAL’s e-library provides teachers and students a convenient reading environment. Students can borrow e-book anytime, anywhere. It also allows students write notes and even read e-book on different devices such as ipad, Android tablet, and windows or iOS PC.
